  • A: During your assessment session, we will likely discuss your background, current concerns and goals for therapy. You may also be asked to complete some paperwork and sign consent forms prior to the assessment. The first session is an opportunity for you and your therapist to get to know each other and determine whether therapy is a good fit. These sessions are normally longer than a typical therapy session, lasting up to 90 minutes.

  • You can self refer by booking a introductory call through the website or a professional can refer you by emailing me

  • As a counselling psychologist I am able to support you with psychological distress, anxiety and mood related challenges. I am not able to give medical advice. However, I am happy to recommend trusted physicians and allied health practitioners who specialise in this area of medicine.

  • Yes, therapy is confidential. Psychologists are legally bound to protect your privacy and will not share your information without your consent, except in rare cases where they are legally required to do so (such as if you are a danger to yourself or others).   • The length of therapy depends on your individual needs and goals. CBT+ therapy is usually a short-term therapy between 4-12 sessions. However, we can extend beyond this if we decide more sessions would be helpful.


  • Payment is taken via bank transfer. Invoices are sent shortly after sessions.

  • Yes, although we ask that you please pay for your appointment and claim back directly from the insurance company. Please confirm with your insurance company prior to your appointment that they will provide cover.

  • If you need to cancel your therapy session, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fees.

  • I’m only able to offer online therapy at this time.

  • The wait time for a first appointment may vary depending on session availability and current demand. My aim is to provide timely access to support, and I strive to accommodate appointments as soon as possible. Please contact me for the most accurate information regarding appointment availability.

  • No, I work with adults (aged 18 years and over)

  • If you require urgent psychological assistance, it is important to reach out to the nearest Crisis and Assessment Team or A&E/call 999. For non-emergency but urgent mental health support, you may consider contacting your registered GP. If you feel that you just need to talk to someone outside of working hours, you can contact the Samaritans.

    Equally, if you are experiencing concerning physical symptoms please consult a GP or in an emergency seek help at A&E, an urgent care centre or call 999. If you are unsure whether your symptoms need urgent care, please use the NHS direct website https://111.nhs.uk/ or call 111.
